Thats It Christmas Is Cancelled

That's it Christmas is cancelled, now I don't want anyone call me a drama queen or a hypocrite but its not even December and I am already over Christmas.

Now Christmas is meant to be the time that we remember the birth of Christ and how that changed every thing for those who believe. But lets be honest for most of us thoughts of baby Jesus will fill about 5% of our Christmas thoughts and truthfully that's probably and over estimation for most of us.

Instead our brains are filled with what presents we are buying for who, when are we catching up with everyone we have ever known, what food will be served at everyone of those gatherings, how will we decorate the house, what alcohol will we be drinking, who are we writing Christmas cards too, when are we visiting Santa and on and on that dam list goes.

I for one am over it and its not that individually I dislike any of those things I love cooking, I love crafting and decorating, I love catching up with friends and family. But when you smoosh it all together with end of year school concerts, end of year parties and when family gathering required more planing than the G20 you on a fast track to cuckooville.

What I really really want for Christmas isn't to zigga zig ah (thank you Spice Girl fans) is to just relax with those that I love. It would be nice to create some happy family memories but I'm 99% sure no one has ever made happy family memories while creaming out the children 'you are decorating the ginger bread house wrong'. So this year I'm keeping it simple and keeping it fun.

If I haven't totally put you off Christmas why not have a go at a bit of Christmas craft. Follow the link to the easy felt chain I made last year its so easy you can make it front of the telly.
